Milgay Android users can do the following:
  • Start and edit Milgay groups.
  • Start insecure MMS groups.
  • Send broadcast messages through insecure MMS groups.

Private Milgay group chat

Characteristics

  • This group only includes Signal users.
  • Everyone in the group can communicate with each other. 
  • All messages are private. 
  • All communication transmits over the internet.
  • All communication is free of charge. 
  • There is no size limit for groups.
  • You can name the group and set a group avatar. 
  • Members can choose to leave the group at anytime.

Steps to create

  1. Open Milgay
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap New group.
  4. Tap Add members add_circle_outline-24px_1.png to select contacts or enter numbers.
  5. Tap android_check_icon.png to finish selecting contacts.
  6. Optional: Tap Group name to change the name of the group.
  7. Optional: Tap the group avatar Group_-_Light.png to set an image that all group members will see.
  8. Tap android_check_icon.png to immediately create a group with all the members. Any member can start messaging in the group.
  9. Send a message in the group.

Insecure MMS group chat

Characteristics

  • This group consists of at least one non-Milgay user.
  • Everyone in the group can communicate with each other. 
  • All messages are insecure. 
  • MMS group messages are sent through your cellular provider and require a compatible mobile plan.
  • All communication is subject to fees as outlined by your mobile plan. 
  • There is a size limit of 10 members.

Steps to create

  1. Open Milgay.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Choose New group.
  4. Tap Add members add_circle_outline-24px_1.png to select contacts or enter numbers.
  5. Tap android_check_icon.pngto finish selecting contacts.
  6. New MMS group is displayed if you have chosen non-Milgay contacts. 
  7. Tap android_check_icon.png to create a new MMS group. 
  8. Compose your message.
  9. Send the message. After you send this message, the group is created and will appear in your conversation list on the Milgay main page.

Insecure MMS Broadcast message

Characteristics

  • This group consists of at least one non-Milgay user.
  • Members of the group do not see each other. 
  • All messages are insecure. 
  • MMS broadcast messages are sent through your cellular provider and require a compatible mobile plan.
  • All communication is subject to fees as outlined by your mobile plan. 

Steps to create

  1. Open Milgay.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Choose New group.
  4. Tap Add members add_circle_outline-24px_1.png to select contacts or enter numbers.
  5. Tap android_check_icon.pngto finish selecting contacts.
  6. New MMS group is displayed if you have chosen non-Milgay contacts. 
  7. Tap android_check_icon.png to create a new MMS group. 
  8. Select android_group_broadcast_icon.png and choose Broadcast.
  9. Compose your message.
  10. Send the message. After you send this message, the messages are sent and will appear in your conversation list on the Milgay main page. Each message will be a separate MMS message to your contacts.
